About Us

LanGwij are an emerging teen band from Ipswich/Tulmur made up of Aboriginal, Samoan, and Māori brothers and cousins who have grown up surrounded by music, culture and strong family traditions. Blending funk, hip hop, soul and rock, their sound combines outstanding songwriting with strong vocal harmonies and energetic live performances.

Despite their young age, LanGwij have already appeared on respected stages including Parliament House in Canberra, The Triffid, Wonderstruck Festival at QAGOMA, and headlined Waitangi Day at the Kingston Butter Factory.

The band will also be performing for the first time at Clancestry 2026 at QPAC in July.

LanGwij represent a new generation of First Nations artists proudly sharing culture, creativity and youthful perspective through contemporary music.
